Dr. Edward Bach was a medical consultant, bacteriologist
and homeopath who formulated the Bach flower remedies in
the 1930s. All the remedies are prepared from wild flowers,
shrubs and trees and preserved in graped alcohol. Bach flower
remedies deal with the state of mind and the principle that
restoring harmony to the mind and body encourages healing.
There are thirty-eight remedies covering a particular aspect
of negative state of mind. The thirty-ninth remedy, Rescue
Remedy is a composite of five of the other remedies. The
remedies can be used for many different instances and can
be purchased separately or as a set. They can be purchased
at most reputable health food stores.
Benefits/Contraindications
All the remedies
are absolutely safe and can be given in conjunction with
conventional and other natural therapies. They are not addictive
and there are no dependence issues.
